Our schedule was at 1pm, so we gathered at UCSI around 8am and plan to go there as early as possible to see what else we can do there. Went to have dim sum as breakfast in Connaught while waiting Danny Tan to finish ''Ching Beng'' around 10am.
Then off we go to Shah Alam!!! Took about 30 minutes drive there, reached there by 11am found parking and saw some guys in our group applying sunblock, kinda weird, I don't think sunlight will burn your skin off in the jungle?? Anyway, just forget what I said, Haha.
Took quite some time to walk to the ticket counter. Stopped by a stone statue like thingy and took our 1st group picture there.
Well, to enter to the park, you need to pay RM3. As for the ticket pricing, we're going for eXtreme, which cost at RM45 per person and if you have a group of 10 people and above, you only have to pay RM40.50 per person. I personally recommend eXtreme if a group of teen are going. It's more challenging and you won't feel boring all the way, trust me.
We're definitely 2 hours early, while wondering what to do to spend the free times, they decided to rent bicycles and cycles up the hill. It's been so long since I cycled, skill is a lil sucked but I am still been able to pedal up the hill. =)
I was one of the top 7 person who cycled up to the hill first, there's a total of 14 of us. XD Reaching up the hill, CAMWHORE TIME!!!!
Actually we can just cycle up hill to the Skytrex park, but it rental is counted by hours so we decided to cycle downhill and return the bike to them. It would be a blood sucking rent if we don't. @.@
Waited a few minutes for the shuttle bus. Then it us up to the Skytrex park, real fast. Yes, REAL FAST!! Feels like the bus is drifting all the way uphill same as the way how it came down too. LOL
Reached the park in no time!! Move on the the register counter to sign on the If-you-die-don't-blame-us-form. Just kidding~ Just personal information and emergency contact are required. Rented a locker with RM5 deposit and paid RM3 for a ooh-so-thin leather glove.
Then move on the the gear booth. Time to gear up!!! Put on the harness and got a briefing session from the supervisors. Another group shot done.
Then we moved on to the warming up, there's an instructor to brief you on how to use your carabiners and pulley. Also to kick-start by trying a ground-level flying fox. Kinda reminds of the rock climbing during my time as a scout and abseiling during Form 5. The only difference is, the instructor will explain to you on time, you will be setting up the pulley and carabiners yourself throughout the entire course. One wrong step, and there's no guarantee on your safety. Hehe XD
Before heading to our 1st challenge, we put the hands and shouted ''NO CHICKEN!!!!'' Funny and an energetic slogan for this game as a promise nobody would chicken out from the course. XD
Our 1st challenge was quite challenging though, you will have to climb up to a ? metres high rope stairs for the 1st Flying Fox, it's just damn high and it's a muscle-killer. =S Look at the photo below and you might think that's not that high. Tell you what, that's when you are almost complete 3 quarter of the climb =S
The first climb is already that tiring OMG. Upon reaching the top, Danny a.k.a Fear was the 1st one to go, Felicia was the 2nd and I was the 3rd. It was a long glide though. Only one word to describe it- EXCITING!!! Best thing here is this Flying Fox, as you can feel the thrill and speed as you glide but the thing is I (and I think most of us) keep on banging the tree at the end of the glide just like the George of the Jungle cuz we can't really master the break yet. =S
Here's some other challenges that we went through,
These two are those that I hated the most, troublesome and requires a lot of stability. But Felicia can make it through with very little effort, gravity can't detect her I think??? LOL
There's still some other challenges but got no time to take photos for it. Finally after 3hrs, we completed all the freaking challenges. Exhausted like shit.... 1st goes to Danny, 2nd goes to Felicia and I was the 3rd. But actually there's no race, just the matter of who goes first XD
Group shot of the Top 10!! Top (from left) : Jacky, Mathew, Danny Tan, Danny Wong, Aidan, Me. Bottom (from left) : Moo, SC, Jyie, Felicia.
Finished whole thing somewhere at 4.30pm, a heavy caught on us but still managed to drove back to Kuchai to have our lunch+dinner. Hahaha, everyone was starving there. The next thing I know is, muscle-ache!!!! =P
Photo credits to Danny Wong, Mathew Tan, Louis Gan, and everyone who helped to take the shots!! The photographer can finally rest for one day~ Hahahaha
It was a great experience, Fuuuoah~~~ XD
