Eddy was having a dilemma to choose between a Canon EOS 1000D a.k.a Digital Rebel Xs/EOS Kiss F and a Sony Ericsson C905 to bring along with him for the AFS student exchange programme to Italy.
While mine was to choose between a Canon EOS 450D a.k.a Digital Rebel XSi/EOS Kiss X2 and a Canon EOS 1000D a.k.a Digital Rebel Xs/EOS Kiss F for my future use.Couldn't resist the temptation of the photographers who were capable of shooting gorgeous night scene with an SLR while my semi-SLR would had failed me many times during a low-light condition.*Sigh*Can't blame on small sensors =P

Vs.

Well,EOS 450D was better than EOS 1000D in some way including a 9-point AF sensor with 1 cross-type at f/2.8 and a proximity sensor,an extra metering mode-Spot Metering which is hard to find in Canon Entry-level DLSR,it is compatible with a remote-wireless shutter release,a larger viewfinder which has a magnification of 0.87x and a 3.o'' LCD.It sounds better than EOS 1000D in almost anyway but one thing is the EOS 450D was a little but pricey and it's about 1000 bucks more expensive than EOS 1000D(standard price).
It sounds like EOS 450D was better for long-term using but the price is such a pain for me.Should I go for ''quality'' which is ''just a touch away'' or just ''shoot simple''??But getting either one of them means I gonna work hard for money this holiday.*sigh*
Any advices or suggestions are welcomed here.

If you are planning for future upgrade and becoming a freelance photographer i suggest you get the 450D because it show the better quality and also the function and speed...if just for hobby and didn't plan for any future upgrade then u can get the 1000D because it was really a cheap and beginner level dslr and affordable for everyone...and things that u still dont understand can add me and we can discuss in msn: cnlow14@hotmail.com...btw i read about you at libra friendster page...I'm his class mate...cheers~ ^^
